Founded in 1955, General Smelting of Canada, a Glencore Company, is one of North America's most established manufacturers of cast, rolled, extruded, welded and machined lead and tin based products and alloys. Located in Lachine, a borough of Montreal, the plant specializes in the fabrication of lead alloy anodes for metal refining and electrowinning processes along with anodes for chrome plating and pickling applications. We also offer specialized services in recycling and industrial construction, as well as maintenance services for equipment used in sulfuric acid plants worldwide.
General Smelting of Canada has an extensive lead recycling program, buying large quantities of secondary lead through a well-established supply network.
